Frequently Asked Questions

  • Due to high demand and limited inventory, we are focusing initially on delivering Fairway Bikes fleets to golf courses to either rent or sell their golfers. We’re planning to open limited pre-sales for individual consumer bikes in the near future, and we’re targeting an initial retail price around (or below) $6,999. If you’d like to be notified, fill out the form below.

  • It depends. Some golf courses have restrictions in place, where outside / alternative vehicles of any kind are not allowed, so we don’t recommend showing up unannounced with a Fairway Bike - it’s best to ask the golf course directly. Many golf courses are open minded, and tend to allow Fairway Bikes, assuming they’re aware of the minimal turf impact, superior safety/stability, and overall practicality.

  • The Fairway Bike is roughly 7’ long x 4’ wide x 4’ tall. The current model does not fold, and while it’s possible to transport in a pickup truck or small trailer, it won’t fit in the trunk of most cars. It’s primarily meant to be stored at the golf course, or ridden to/from the course on private trails (e.g. if you live on/near your home golf course).

  • Yes! As the name suggests, Fairway Bikes are extremely turf-friendly. As a result, golf course Superintendents typically allow Fairway Bikes to ride anywhere that push/pull carts are allowed - even on “cart path only” days, when the ground is wet/damaged and traditional golf carts are restricted to staying on paved paths. The bikes weigh 95 lbs, with 4” wide tires, specially sourced for maximum traction and minimal turf impact. A golfer riding on a Fairway Bike will place less pressure on the turf than someone of the same weight standing/walking on the turf. Your golf course can reach out to us if they have any questions or would like more data on turf impact.

  • The Fairway Bike’s rechargeable lithium ion battery lasts 2+ rounds on most golf courses / in most conditions. Your mileage may vary based on the golf course terrain and amount of weight on the bike. The detachable battery takes about 4 hours to reach a full charge.

  • With an adjustable electric pedal assist, and custom torque settings optimized for tackling steep hills, cruising the fairways, and everything in between, you can work as hard (or not) as you’d like throughout the round. There’s also an electric throttle, in case you want to cruise without pedaling at all. In other words, it’s totally up to you.
